This is just a little idea I had inspired by the world not actually ending on Friday. There were some people who were convinced it was going to happen, this is about them.

So the world didn't end...
(is anyone else disappointed?)

So the world didn't end
What happens now?
Do I look for the next
Dark prophecy?
Do I talk to the people
Surrounding me?
Do I carry on as before?

So the hype it was all just
For nothing then
And the traffic rolls
By as before
And the rain it is still
Coldly blowing in
Through the cracks
At the side of the door

Is anyone else disappointed?
I had hoped for a shiny new start
As I sit in this old worn out
 chair of mine
In my shelter deep under my yard

I'd packed up all of
my worldly goods
Gave them away
 to the church
Bought me a seat
With saint Peter
In case my grand plan didn't work

The others they thought
I was crazy though
Wife left me
As I dug and dug
Even the dog
I got rid of him
The supplies they just weren't
Quite enough

Is anyone else disappointed?
I had hoped for a shiny new start
As I sit in this old worn out
 chair of mine
In my shelter deep under my yard

Now I am waiting I'm all alone
The world it is turning
So fine
Do I have purpose
To venture out
Or should I bolt the door
Up real tight?

Is anyone else disappointed?
I had hoped for a shiny new start
As I sit in this old worn out
 chair of mine
In my shelter deep under my yard

No prophecy can ever predict his coming let alone predict the ending of the world, well its a relieve it actually didn't end coz we all need a little bit of time to see our fruits bear.

Thanks for the song i had actually forgotten the world was supposedly to have ended on Friday, guess i don't believe that any one can predict the ending of the world.

I really like how you wrote about something topical and not about love. I think the lyrics are creative, imaginitive and would make the listener smile. Really good job!
