Love th intro ... some great quirky sounding instrumentation and percussion. The lyrics are really strong .... would love to hear a gospel choir singing the refrain!

Nice job/

wonderful lyrics but I think the same than 2tuoo, and the intro it seems too long perhaps?
Sorry if you dislike but you have a very personnal style and this kind of song, so "your's" could be even better but it is my point of view.
Felices Fiestas. Mora

Hi. What was it he thought?
Well there are some mini itches in there somewhere but given the tracks overwhelming level of quality I think they can be overlooked.
I think the length of the intro is spot on. I wasn't aiming for a radio snippet.
Yes, this song is mine, I'm still learning mixing and mastering, making great leaps in progress, it's fascinating.  ;D

It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

Thanks for the appraisal Kevysc.
I know what you mean with the gospel, yes, it'd be lovely.
I must press on though, I've so many songs to get done.

I recently followed your link and had a very enjoyable listen to some of your tunes.
Thanks for posting.

Really interesting combination of instruments.  I especially like the parts where you sound like you are in your kitchen playing some pots and pans, and that bass sound is one I really like too.  For these ears, the balance between experimentation and convention is just about right, there's enough of the "new" here to make it captivating, but situated in a format that's familiar enough to keep it accessible so I could enjoy it at a first listen.  At first I did find myself questioning if it should have a more obvious chorus (and there were a couple of moments where it felt like it was about to really take off), but on reflection I think that could make it naff/cheesy so am glad you stuck with restraint on it.  Also small point but the pic of the praying mantis is cool and (rightly or wrongly) made me read all kinds of things into the lyrics.
It's all too beautiful.

I like the how the tune and lyrics which I really like, come together.
The intro is quite long as the singing doesn't start to 48 secs.
but once it get going it a cool tune.
Good collaboration guys.

A really interesting listen which actually made me realise quite how low risk my own songs are! It feels like there are loads of different instruments in there. Even the bass seems to be speaking in its own language. I love the pots and pans too.

Some have suggested adding more melody, but I think that any more would reduce the quirkiness of the song and take it back towards mainstream.

Thanks

James

that's a perceptive comment. Thanks .Alan  :)

I can't please everyone
and christ! I wouldn't want to

the intro is longer than any intro to be found on a 2 minute radio snippet
this was intentional
I'm not interested in radio snippets because they're crap

I think it might be a tad too short.

some folks like this song, some don't
this is a good sign.

happy new year!!

Just to say I've listened a few times and think the song carries the emotion really well. I like the slightly "industrial" backing and blend of different sounds. The title has that slightly ambiguous feel which is quite intriguing. Good original stuff.

Thanks for the comment Adam.
I feel like I'm sticking my neck out with the midi stuff.
I'm just learning the ropes, sometimes I feel like I'm on the wrong side of the ring.

I'm glad you like this track. Have a great 2018.
