This isn't ambitious by your usual standards but I think it still shines.
You seem to mix it all so easily.
I enjoyed the listen.
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

Don't eat the yellow snow

And there you have it.

"When you've done all you can, And it still hits the fan" - oh boy, as a dad several times over can I relate to that! Another line I wish I had come up with myself - damn!

I enjoyed the production, and especially the supporting organ that then burst through to take centre stage. For me the drums sounded a wee bit pedestrian and may have benefited from a bit more variation. As you may remember @PaulAds , I have always been a fan of your voice which is full of character and holds my interest - I honestly think you could sing lines from the phone book and I would still be lovin' it.  Great stuff

@PaulAds
Hi Paul, Love the organ and the drum sound and the unhurried pace and vibe of the song. Vocals sound great an there's a nice open feel to the sound, someone else mentioned Costello I too hear that in this song.
Very good Paul, another great song to add to your repertoire!

Cheers

Jamie

This is great. Reminds me of Paul Weller in his later, more mellow years. Gorgeous organ - that alone would do for me. The bass and drums are beautifully done - simple and unhurried which is a pretty good description of this. It's magic, basically. Great writing, singing, playing, everything really.......
