Hi all, something to try and raise our spirits, hope you like it and a Merry Christmas to everyone.
Hope all of you have a joyful and fun time this Christmas.

with footsteps to our door
This Christmas we’ll all gather round again
just like the years before

of children throughout the world
For Christmas
it’s the happiest time for giving and receiving joy

they would hug us
saying he’s on his way
from the other side of town.

Thank God for Christmas
for filling the hearts
of children throughout the world

We’ve all felt that moment
being alive
in starlight.

A really well crafted and performed Christmas song. We need cheering up just now and this is great. I can almost imagine Paul McCartney singing this, though I think this way better than his most famous Christmas ditty which has been played to death of the years. I enjoyed listening to this. Well done :)

@Beebeesmith (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=22341) A big sound here. Crashes in unashamedly announcing it's intentions as a Christmas song. It's melodic and catchy with lyrics that are on task for the brief. The video brings an enjoyable bonus to this really well crafted song.

Hi Chris
nice of you to take the time to listen and comment. Wow a reference to a Paul McCartney is quite something. Although you may well only be a party of one I will treasure that from a fellow songwriter.
Thanks again and have the best hugging Christmas that you can.

I always look forward to your songs @Beebeesmith (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=22341)
Sounds so like Brandon Flowers...I think this is a wonderful song...
Love the build to the chorus and that's hook-laden...the melody rises and rises until it floats and the lyrics are bang on the money...
Fabulous stuff :)

Hi Tom
thanks for commenting and glad that you approved. Yes Christmas will hopefully bring a welcome release from the constraints endured through the year.
Careful as we go though.😀
Merry Christmas
