It seems a bit quite at the moment so i'm gonna post a few lyrics.
make of them what you will.

                                   A GASOLINE HEART

I've got a head,and it's full of bees
and my legs they're made they're made out of trees
my arms are wings they're made out of things
and my soul, baby,it's as black as coal
iv'e got a head,and it's full of bees
and my legs they're made they're made out of trees
my feet are size nine and yes i opine
iv'e got a gasoline heart so set me alight

gasoline,pour me a drink
iv'e been on the precipice iv'e been on the brink
i nearly went and threw myself into the void
if you've never had nothing then nothing's destroyed
gasoline,pour me a drink
iv'e been on the precipice iv'e been on the brink
i nearly went and threw myself into the void
but i would have made my maker very annoyed

bees,trees,wings and things
my soul, baby,it's as black as coal
too many dogs wearing diamond rings
my soul, baby,it's as black as coal
bees,trees,wings and things
iv'e got a gasoline heart so set me alight

iv'e got a head,and it's full of bees
and my legs they're made they're made out of trees
my arms are wings they're made out of things
and my soul, baby,it's as black as coal
iv'e got a head,and it's full of bees
and my legs they're made they're made out of trees
my feet are size nine and yes i opine
iv'e got a gasoline heart so set me alight
seventeen sisters bring on the night
iv'e got a gasoline heart so set me alight.

Tom,
Always liking you lyrics and no exception here.
You've got you trademark mixed up wordplay and repeating lines which just work for you.
The first 4 line of section two are just great.
You know it just needs a tune  ;D
Good work
 :)

I need to investigate your lyrics more but this scans well and I've gleaned from Neil C's comments the style that you flow with. I can imagine this as a rollicking upbeat roadster track. Good work.

I love the flow of this lyric, can read it so easily. I love the rhyme scheme of it all together. I love the fact that you used striking imagery to make this stand out, always admire that in a lyric.

Would love to hear some music to go along with it!

Took me four reads on four separate occasions to "get" what you were saying.

It simply wouldn't happen until I found a tune that this could sing to instead of just reading.

That tune came hard, but it REALLY worked when I found it.

I could tell there was excellent meaning here, but until I found the tune, I just couldn't find it.

Shows how important music is to a song I guess.  LOVED the lyric once I finally got my head around it.

ONE SUGGESTION:  "and my legs they're made feel like they're made out of trees."
