Hi all.

Here's our latest track called "When we're all free"

Inspired by a conversation I had with my mate at work on a long drive past the St Austell clay pits in Cornwall about how we are slowly destroying this plant with pollution and mining for its minerals. It suddenly dawned on me that we are talking about colonising Mars and other planets because we are exhausting this one.

This song is about that, and the video kind of shows that if we could we would pack up and leave....we probably would..only to destroy somewhere else.

Anyway....thats enough Eco warrior talk from me.

Heres the link:
https://youtu.be/xNWEzt5TuQI

Hope you enjoy the listen and view.

Heres the Lyrics:

Verse:
When the sun goes down
And doesn’t return again
Theres gunna be no sound
just a dark place that we left for our children

Verse 2:
So its time to leave now.
Leave this broken land we’ve made it
don’t look down,
don’t look down, ….now we can’t save this…

pre:
and we can leave it all
we can leave it all behind

Chorus:
When we’re all free
And they can see
Nothing left for you and me

When we’ve taken all we can
Look away and draw a line in the sand
Turn away say its not our problem
but In our hearts we know we may just have cause them

Verse 3:
Now a new place awaits us
maybe we can make it our home
and leave it alone

Pre 2:
And we can have it all
We can have it all again

Gorgeous song. I loved the vocals, the lyrics, and the guitar was really beautiful. I couldn't watch the video. I had to close my eyes, it was too much for me. I do really appreciate the message, though. If I didn't see any of the video, I think the song might have come across as hopeful and uplifting, so I guess you do need the video to help make the point.

You have something to be proud of.

I'm not a fan of doom laden songs (though I have written one myself :: ;D ;D)
I don't watch videos with music..reckon the song should stand on it's own..

however, this song does stand on it's own, a very good song, very good sound, very good singing, very nice guitar...very good production, I found it a very good listen :) :)

A pleasure to hear in the morning... :)

Thanks for the listen and kind comments.

This track was always going to accompany a video from the start. I had lots of imagery in my head while putting it all together. But glad to hear the song came through on its own. After all this forum is exactly about that.

Listening back to the song and lyrics I realise that they could have a few meanings and be relevant to many different situations...

Thanks again for taking time to listen.

cheers
Andy

This is a lovely track with a lovely ambience.

The guitar's I thought were great throughout. Nice clean tone on them and noodling throughout to keep listeners engaged.

The vocal is strong as are the lyrics. I like the theme of the song, very interesting. And great production. Nice work again from you lot *thumbs up*

Thanks for sharing

Man! I wish I had the patience/skills to make a good video. This one is awesome! I especially like how in the final shot the earth seems to be frowning :(

The song is also very good all around. Nice & catchy with a great production.

Brilliant stuff!  :D

Thanks again guys,

Man! I wish I had the patience/skills to make a good video. This one is awesome! I especially like how in the final shot the earth seems to be frowning :(

Previous to getting into making music I was serious filmmaker so those skills come in handy when editing.

Thanks Darren.
Appreciate the listen.

I have been listening to all the tracks going up in the finished section on here and the standard of everyones songs are going from strength to strength...

Guys I wasn't sure about this one. Yeah it's ok, and I know you can't do fast rockers and uptempo pop all the time, but this didn't ring my buzzer like the last few, and message songs leave me cold aswell, I'm afraid. I really like your voice but IMHO it works better at uptempo stuff.
Sorry man, I love a lot of your stuff but this didnt really hit the mark.

No problem man, the world would be pretty boring if everyone's taste was the same, we do try to come up with different stuff and its not always going to appeal to everyone so no need to be sorry.

Thanks for listening and maybe we'll get you next time

Geez, great musicality, a fine song but hugely depressing video. Guess I'm just not in the mood for something quite as direct.

I thought the singing was excellent, as were the guitars and bass, but the drums were a bit too low down in the mix for my tastes.

Great singing.
To me it was like an elegant mood piece, a soundscape to show off those great vocals and guitar playing. I can't say the structure grabbed me and demanded attention, but I still enjoyed it the way I enjoy later era Floyd: big wide open spaces to float about in. Slick production too.
It's all too beautiful.

Nice and mellow given the topic, with a lot of optimism from the music.

Reminded me a bit of earlyish stereophonic in places.

Nicely produced as always. I don't know whether you're doing something a bit unorthodox or whether I just haven't been paying attention to notice it in other songs and that's how wide the drums were. The hihats right over to the left and the really wide snare. Was that a second version of the snare over on the right with just the higher frequencies left in.

Food for thought for me.
