Hi dear all,

Well this is just a simple ballad dedicated to my daughter to be, as a message for the future...

I tried to focus on my accent here, so you can all understand me without having to read the lyrics. :-)

God bless you !

Nono.

From my window,
The street is empty again,
I'm in the house of pain,
Hanging out

Suddenly,
The blue wall dissolves again,
Fascinated and strained,
Inside out

You don't need to spend your life away
Wild and young is how you must stay

I can't move,
I'm sitting in hell again,
The limelight burns again,
Eat my soul

They say jump,
They're crushing my head again
Pulling my strings again
Heavy role

You don't need to spend your life away
Wild and young is how you must stay

Crying out,
I want to be born again,
Naked and unnamed,
Open eyes.

A lot of effort went into this! I can tell, there's a lot of instruments, and they all sound very clear. The production is pretty much perfect.  Maybe some of the horn notes are a little of key, but I think thats intentional. The harp adds a cool texture. If these are real, congrats for using real instruments, but if its midi, you have damn good patches.  some of the beeping sounds in the outro don't really fit in my opinion, but thats not a big issue. I'm really struggling to find things to critique. I could say that in the end, maybe sing a little more fully, just to give some sense of vocal build to add power to the last chorus. Overall, this is great work, excited to hear more!

very good work.
song and production is just lovely.

I didn't care for the video much. Not enough events for me.
I don't know anything about Videos.

very good song. Thanks for posting!
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

Hi,

Just had a listen. First off I've got to say, your voice is superb and conveys the lyrics with real panache (does anyone still use this word! :) ) a little reminiscent of Tom Chaplin to my ears.
I thought there were a few unnecessary instruments in there at times which seemed to detract a little from such an awesome melody but hey, just sweep that comment because overall I think this is excellent and so well produced.

Top work

Yeah ,it's neat little track , great melody, love the penny whistle ,or whatever you used..horns are nice...reminds of  Canned Heat track ' going up the country 'for some reason.

retro nono retro yesyes

I really enjoyed this. The title drew me in at first, I don't know what it means, latin I'm guessing but it's a great title.

Lovely melodies and harmonies, liked the little melodic hooks.

The only thing I would suggest is maybe a little more variation towards the end. Perhaps ad lib'ing (jeez, I can nearly do Latin too!) the vocals a little, varying the hooks etc.

Well done though, good work.

Unusual production this, with some discordant type melodies over a lush arrangement. It works though...because the song underneath is pure pop gold. Really fantastic song and the guitar that comes in at the chorus is so tasteful and understated. A sign of a real craftsman at work.

This is just great Retro...you should sing it to your daughter every night. You must tell us the secret of how to do your videos. I want one!

Nono,
Congratulations.
A serene, majestic calm with all you trademark production skills showing.
I can't imagine how to hard it Is to sing in a foreign language, let alone sound less accented, but I think you did it. You still had an accent. I like it, and the ladies always love it.. let's not sound too homogenised
Loved the guitar at the end

Hi Nono,

Cool song.
The vocal made me think of George Harrison.
The flute like sound works well over that rumbling bass line. Nice introduction of guitar.
Lovely little ballad.

Hi Nono, really enjoyed the melody, and the harmonies, nice arrangement, although I have to say I'm not a fan of the whistle sound, but that didn't detract from the skilful production and performance.
Nice one!
Cheers

A real underlying beauty to the song...I wasn't into the discordant horn parts and I'd maybe have confiscated the recorder or whatever it was...although it does add a kind of youthful and playful texture to the piece.

It's lovely though...very well constructed and very nicely sung...and the concept of a kind of placeholder to be filled in with future events is genius...very nice  :)

Agree with all the comments, this is a wonderful piece of work: simple but really effective and catchy melody, great vocals and interesting lyrics.

Liked it Nono - Thought it had a real sixties vibe. The dischordant brass is a good touch. Can't decide about the whistle, but after a couple of listens I find it is a pretty strong hook. Very good work

Cheers
