Does anyone have a ideas for a name to give to a web page (not a website, just one page on the site) that's devoted to music from my past (original, but not all written by me). I'm trying to think of something that will indicate the vintage feel (to me, anyway) of this music.

It's music I digitized from old cassette tapes. The quality is definitely vintage, but the music is kind of irreplaceable.

I've thought about phrases with words in them like "vibrations", "melodies", "vintage", "vintage airs/tunes/melodies/strains/songs", "music/songs/strains/airs/tunes/melodies from my vintage years", "strains/songs/tunes/melodies from the past", "obscure tunes/melodies/songs/strains/music (from the past)", "obscure vintage tunes/etc".

I know this is really off the wall, so feel free to ignore me.

Vintage is good, but you need to point to the music too. Vintage Sounds has a ring to it.

"Vintage" definitely has a warm feeling to it and I think it conveys exactly what you want to get across

If it is your website and your music I would personalise it a little more with something along the lines of: "Vintage Songs From My Past"

I think "tunes", "melodies", "sounds" etc. would not do it justice and implies they are only snippets and not full songs (unless they aren't full songs of course)

Old tale recordings can be "cleaned up" remarkably well nowadays with many of tools available in DAWs - just be careful with the "automatic noise/reduction" type tools that analyse the hiss as they can "suck the life" out of a recording if not used carefully

A "re-mastering" of the digitised file could also lead to some significant sonic improvements - I would be happy to look at one for you (no charge) to see what could be done

Yes, the more I think about it, the more I'm sure I want the word "vintage" included. There's a mix of songs written by various people--some by me, some by me and a friend, some by other people who were part of an early online type of forum called a "bulletin board" specific to Commodore computers. Good grief! How long ago as this???

I hadn't thought about cleaning up the files. That sounds like a good idea. I'll be in touch, Boydie. :)

Thanks, Mike & Boydie!

Argh! It's just like with my songs. I want to use every suggestion. Why do I do this to myself? It's too much stress!

Maybe Vintage Tape Blast from the Past Classic Rock Echoes.  ;D  That won't work. None of the music is even faintly "rock"-like.

I could call it Reminiscences. Like I need even more choices....
