Everyday, nothing is ever new
Looking for an answer overdue
I'm just the same as ever

The second verse (I'm assuming this is verse/chorus/verse so far) seems better than the first to me. I wouldn't say that anything about this stands out. There's no clever metaphors or other linguistic spins so it's saying a lot of what other songs say in fairly similar words.

The positive thing about it I found though was that it was easy to fit to a rhythm so it would be very adaptable and could work with almost any sound.
What is the intended sound though?

The sound/music I have in my mind is rather slow and most likely used with piano chord progression
