Today I had a listen to the top 5 singles in the UK chart and these are my thoughts, in reverse order.

5. Passion Fruit by Drake

Unfortunately it made little impression one way or the other.

4 Sign of the Times by Harry Styles

started off dull but got a lot better towards the end. I found it way too long. I can see why he's popular but isn't really my type of music.

3. Galway Girl by Ed Sheeran

A great chorus ruined by the verses. I get the impression he's trying too hard to be clever.

2. Shape of You by Ed Sheeran

I thought this was ok, some good lines and I liked the humming. I wouldn't buy it and found it too long.

1. Clean Bandit by Symphony

Taylor Swift meets Of Monsters and Men. I bought the first album by Of Monsters and Men so why would I want a poor imitation.

Although I didn't find anything I liked this time I'd say it's a worthwhile way to find out what's popular.

Yes I share these views, but I feel if another artist came out with Passion Fruits then it wouldn't even reach top 40. But since it's Drake  ::)  But I'm not too keen on today's music but who cares right? Right?!
