I absolutely adore The Waterboys.
Now I'm gonna have to listen to them tomorrow!

EDIT:
Although this one is my favorite song by them…

Bang on the ear! Ha - I remember that tune. I have to confess I'm more a fan of the 'big music' era and sound than the super-folky stuff. That being said, Fishermans Blues was a great album with loads of good songs on it.

Bit if I had to pick a favourite.... probably red army blues

Nice to meet another fan though :)

[edit] looking at your epic playlists... is there anything you don't like? :o

Am I the only one who thinks London Grammar is basically a recycled version of Massive Attack?

I mean, they're good enough and everything, and she has a nice voice. But it's not as good as their level of success would suggest perhaps?

Or maybe I'm still annoyed that they nicked a line from Coldplay's Trouble with impunity and no recourse :o

Yes ;). I think she has an incredible voice and I saw them live and it was just as good! I don't think they sound that much like massive attack either ???. Also if you're defending Coldplay then that's an issue too :P.
Cheers ;)

haha :D

Not defending Coldplay, more defending the idea that taking a line from one song and planting it in another with no attempt to disguise it is just wrong. Or lazy at least.

Just listening to their song 'strong'...sounds like Florence and the machine..? anyway they have a competent  sound to them....but it's amazing what you can do with a studio and the right people...

It's all about the hype...as Coldplay have discovered.

Ooh what do you make of Everyday Robots Todd? I heard it during release week when it was streaming for free. I Thought it was better than any blur album since Parklife...

I don't think that it's quite as good as you do. I still do like the s/t Blur record better, and also, the first Gorillaz record, but I do like it quite a bit.
