Hey everyone,

Here is a little instrumental song I made a few months ago that i never finished.
I wanted to create an instrumental song about war and make it sound quite haunting.
Although i never got round to completing it i feel its still worth a listen.

I find Its best listened to through headphones as it has a very nice bass to it that you might not hear through normal speakers.

Let me know what you think.

I know nothing about this sort of music but it sounded good to me. A bit strange but all good. I wonder that churchill would have thought of it :)

Sounds like it could be the intro for a song, very much in the same vein as When The Tigers Broke Free by Pink Floyd. I actually wouldn't mind working on this  ;) Love the high strings towards the end, very nice piece.

Thanks for the replies  :)
Mark Ryan I've just taken a listen to "When the tigers broke free" by Pink Floyd and yes it is very similar.
Not intentional though as I've never heard that song before sounds quite nice though.

an abundance of instrumentals today..

hi poppy
what haunting words they are, lets hope we never have to live them..
you risk the gauntlet of criticism for using such a well known speech for dramatic effect but i think youve framed it very well..
as it fades away i expected an acoustic gtr to enter..
well done
i may not believe this tomorrow...

Great stuff - I really enjoyed this, although I did think it sounded like an extract from a longer piece. Using the Churchill speech in the middle really gives it focus and the music frames the words very well. It's chilling.

The contrast at the end where the strings play higher is really nice. I could imagine a simple piano melody running through this, just joining it all together. Probably doesn't need it though - maybe it's the space in the music that's part of its appeal.

Thanks for sharing :)
