Bump to MontyDog's points

This has oodles of promise. Melody is clear and strong, and the guitar embellishments show where you want the builds and rolls to sit, and are spot on.

Lyrically we are open ended pop here, but they suit perfectly for the style, never jarring nor too obvious as they flow.

I look forward to hearing the final version  :)

This is a great song. Lovely melody and inciteful lyrics. I can imagine this being a huge hit record with the right production - something that lifts it into the stratosphere. It's a real grower - a couple of listens and the tune worms it's way into your head. Formidable stuff.

Thanks Alan. I remember when I started writing this song last year up in Scotland driving along listening to Will Young and the words 'I pictured the world turning around you' popped into my head.
I really do like this song and I think it has got real potential, as you said 'with the right production'.
Not sure I want to produce this one myself as I'm always worried about over doing it. :)

A bloody brilliant song!

Well done Kirby, just listened on sound cloud and added to my bookmarks, will defo listen again and again.

Would love to hear it in a full band production too.

Probably said often but I wish uk radio had more like that on it.

Kind regards,
Chris

This is a song that grows. Didn't like it yesterday but I do today. I like the vocal delivery and feeling a lot. The melody is OK but for me its the lyrics that really do it. Just hooky enough and not too much. "World that keeps on turning" works just right. Could stand a bit more instrumental development.

Hope this helps.

Wow mate, this is cool, those vocals are excellent, sounds a bit like Dodgy or Brandon Flowers.

I hope you do a full production of this, it definitely deserves it. I can hear this done as a rocky song, lots of guitars and drums. Not really getting the Will Young thing ???

Great job :)

Hi there,

Just listed to your song and I liked it. This song reminds me of David Gray - has anyone ever told you that you have a similar voice and vibe to your music.

Nice work mate... I look forward to hearing more of your music on here.

Matt

Hi,

Really good vocal. Nice stripped down light rock. I can imagine it being played by a band at the end of a noisy, energetic gig as a farewell to the audience.

Good stuff.

I liked this a lot. A really good song.....to me it sounded a bit like an edgy Neil Finn. Not often I would say that...because frankly he's a bit of a musical hero of mine. Excellent vocal.

The only thing that jarred a bit for me .....I thought the guitar rhythm could be tidier (especially in the chorus).

I think it would be stunning with an arrangement and a bit of production.
