Promising - although sounds more indie rock than Will Y to me. I think the key will be the dynamics of the arrangement to create tension and make the most of your powerful vocal delivery. You've a real opportunity to be really dramatic. I'd also think carefully about the transition into to the  middle section    there's kind of no warning if that makes sense.
Look forward to hearing the worked up song.

You're really in possession of one of my favorite voices as of lately...  something about the unique tone in your vox that's simply a pleasure to listen to... there are some Thom Yorke qualities but one can actually understand what you are saying LOL ....   I'd describe it more as The Flaming Lips meets Muse meets James all wrapped up into something new.

Dig this track....either on its own as a minimalist sketch or as blueprint for more instrumentation

well done as always, mate

Thanks Daren, I do like it when people can hear what I'm actually singing about... always makes for a better experience ;)

Wow - awesome song!!

I love everything about it - great lyrics, nice melody. Every man can identify with being in that position at some point in their lives so it will appeal to pretty much anybody who listens to it.

It works really well as a solo acoustic number but I can just imagine this song given the full works - drums, bass, guitars, keys etc - I think that would send it into the stratosphere!!

I think it's just a really solid, top quality song. I look forward to seeing what you do with it mate!  8)

Wow - this song grows on you.  I didn't like it at first, so ignored the post and didn't respond.  But, in the back of my mind your vocals were grinding away in my sub-conscience.

The chorus needs a key change, I found it hard to differentiate the verse from the chorus..... so just flip it up a semi-tone and this will a make a huge dynamic difference....

Otherwise, its a great track.  :-)

Thanks for the feedback Neil. Yeah inspired by... not sounds like Will Young :)

I think for me that 'No warning' is kind of deliberate, that surprise of seeing her. I suppose it could seem a little to quick though... ? :)

Great song. Love the guitar though not 100% sure of the strum pattern used in the chorus but I can see what you are after. ATM it sounds forced and not as flowing as the verses, which are wonderfully done. Lyriocs are strong and the vocal is outstanding. Deffinate Indie sound and really well put together. If this is the rough demo I cant waint to hear the finished product. Im sold already.

Allan.

Thanks SF, I'm planning on a nice piano to take the front seat and using the guitar as support when I get around to producing it... not sure when that will be though, 5 kids and keeping the day time job ticking over seems to eat up to much of my free time :)

Thanks for the feedback.

This is a great song. Lovely melody and inciteful lyrics. I can imagine this being a huge hit record with the right production - something that lifts it into the stratosphere. It's a real grower - a couple of listens and the tune worms it's way into your head. Formidable stuff.
