This has been a very difficult selection process.Due to the number of songs posted in August,I have found it a struggle to whittle 25 or so songs down to a shortlist of only five.

So,this month there are going to be more than 5 on the shortlist,8 to be precise. 

A few newer members have fallen foul of the 100 post minimum rule,most notable being Rightly and Buc. Maybe in future comps this rule needs to be looked at,since both the aforementioned members contribute and participate in the community.

My greatest apologies to those not on the shortlist,honestly If I had my way I'd post the entire song selection for the whole of August and let the forum decide by vote. It's been a great month for quantity and quality. Trust me to pick a hard one!

when I compered SOTM I stuck my neck out & put someone in who only had 46 posts bcos I thought he was part of the community & this was his forum...& he never voted ..never responded to my PM & has never been back since!...i was embarressed
but I do think whoevers compereing it should have a little bit of leeway to put there own stamp on it...like youve selected 8 entries & put some irish words in the title Skub
