Ever try one of these capos?
https://www.thaliacapos.com/collections/all
They're really expensive, for capos, so I have to wonder...are they really dramatically better than "regular" capos, or is it all hype??? Just curious--not planning to buy one anytime soon.

Haven't tried it but it looks like it's just a bling fashion accessory to me.
I doubt they're several times better than a utilitarian one to justify the several times higher price.
The product pages don't have item descriptions exuding any passion for guitars or explaining their functional better qualities.
That said - it is a pretty cool gift if you know someone who uses a capo and you give them one plated in gold and covered in diamonds. Too gaudy for my personal tastes though.

My son bought me one of those for a birthday a while back. I do use it,but I don't believe it's any better than any other well known brand. It's a bling thing and that's ok,but I'd never have bought one for myself.
It's always been Shubb for Skub! :D

I have a couple, they are very very good

Mine says KYSER.
It looks kind if like an insect. Best thing since sliced bread.

I didn't realize there were so many choices before recently. And some really expensive ones! I can't remember what mine cost (probably about $15-$20), but I know both of them are D'Addario. They seem to work well enough for me. I have to be careful not to crank them down too tight, and they are definitely not quick change types. But I can't even change chords all that quick--I could never slip a capo very fast and keep in time. :-\
Thanks for all the input.
