the latest track from my 4Below project. Just my bass, my voice, a simple piano and a drum track.... and a whole heap of pedals to get my bass to sound like a guitar. It's big, it's loud, it's heavy and there is a swear word in it (just the one) so if that offends you then best avoid it.

Lyrics
You better come sit next to me, lets pick apart our history
and find a future we can choose, it's up to you
Another heart beats out of time, but it's the last thing on my mind
I crave a different point of view, something new
Love is just another word that we ignore
but we scratch it til our fingers turn to bone
Can we turn this ship around and head for shore?
I can't steer us from this wreckage on my own
It's just a stream of consciousness, no moral and no consequence
Another game I'm born to lose, it's nothing new
A wall of silence serves you well, inside your head's a prison cell
I switch the context back to you, $%*! the rules !

Wow! Great drive to this @Andyb (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20943)... Pulled me in from the get go. Amazed you’re doing so much and getting such a full sound with so little!! This really is great stuff! Liked and following you! Loved the lyrics too! Big thumbs up from me! Delighted to discover this!

Yo Andy.
What a great rock sound you get just mostly using a bass.
Elements of prog rock right from the Jack Bruce type vocals to modern day Muse.
I'm quite blown away actually. What a well thought out and superbly executed track, especially given the instrument limitations, self imposed or otherwise.
A salutary lesson to all us bods who agonise over the production detail.

This is excellent Andy. I'm amazed what sounds you've managed to generate from the umble bass geetar. It's cleverly arranged and produced as well and super vocals. A super original piece of work :)

Blown away by all your comments - thanks so much

Cool rocking groove, Andy!
I love the recording. The balance between the instruments are very good. The vocal sits well in the mix.
The drumming patterns here are so great, just wished they were a bit louder during the breaks. Still great! :)
All the best
