There are only a few criteria.  

1.  You have to have 100 (or more) posts on the forum to be considered.  I don't know how others do this, but I interpreted that to mean that the song posted has to be the 100th post or later. 

2.  You have to have posted a song between September 1 and September 31.  

3.  You have to still be a member in good standing.  In other words, if someone were kicked off the forum after posting a song, their song would not be considered.  

Those are the only criteria I know of.

Cannot agree with your new proposals, you will make the process even more exclusive and end up with even less voters.

Just in case there's any confusion...anyone can vote

The criteria only applies to songs being picked for SOTM, and those criteria have been in place
since this contest began, so they're nothing new

Thank you for your answer Suzy, I was aware of voting entitlement, I did vote last month. I was not aware and could not find an explanation of who was eligible for consideration in the SOTM.
