Hi Mark

First off, welcome to the forum! Feel free to head over to the introductions board and tell us about yourself.

Like colours:
This song has a nice atmosphere, and some interesting phrases. I really like the guitar part. I do think the intro is too long though, and that perhaps there's not enough contrast between the verses and the chorus. Without the vocal harmony there to distinguish the parts, I think they would bleed into each other too much.

I also thought it could have done with more dynamic range. There's definitely room there to make the song more of a journey.

I'm not sure what you're looking for in terms of a song review (don't be afraid to say up front), but I will say that you have a really good voice, and a good ear for melody. I enjoyed listening very much.

Your music prompted me to actually register for this site so this is my first post as well!

I like both tracks very much but more specifically:

 - great guitar hook and progression on like colours
 - lyrics are fresh, not cheesy or tacky, personally I think they're very good
 - I really like the emotion in your voice, a lot of colour and texture
 - I like the stripped back style and the guitar tone carries well with your voice

As to improve, I'm no expert but you could possibly experiment with the quiet/loud/quiet and see how that works, some ringing out chords could also add to the impact of the chorus, but that is really my own personal taste and just a suggestion for experimentation.  I'm not sure if it would improve the song or not.
