Well.....I've cobbled together a terror that haunts us all ...the whole world over.....Still needs work so I'm hoping for some suggestions.....

Happy All Hallows Eve!!!!

Zombie Love
Words/Music ©I. Wolosenko 2016

Vocals - Igg
Lead guitar/Bass - Tony Di Gregorio
Guitar - Igg

Verse 1
She was a soft summer breeze, drifting through my life
I was hoping she would stay with me,   maybe be my wife
But she told me we were never meant to be, and then blew away
I took my broken love and buried it that day in a deep dark grave

Chorus
Zombie love..............A love that never happened
Zombie love ............ rising from the grave
Zombie love ..............you keep coming for me, coming for me
Coming back to break my heart again ...and again ... and again... and again

Verse 2
I can be walking down a boulevard,... It's a sunny day
Here comes a girl that looks like her,  Zombie love springs to life again
And every night when I go to sleep, it's waiting in my dreams
I'm waking up in cold dark sweat ,my head is filled with screams
Chorus

Verse 3
I  try to reason with my heart ....but it won't obey
Though it was such a long time ago,.... seems like yesterday
Why can't you go away ...    leave me alone, before I go insane
I need to find myself another girl so I can heal this pain

Chorus
Zombie love..............A love that never happened
Zombie love ............ rising from the grave
Zombie love ..............I am bleeding for you
Bitter tears and howling pain
Zombie love..............I keep running from you, running from you
Zombie love ............ rising from the grave
Zombie love ..............you keep coming for me, coming for me
Coming back to break my heart again ...and again ... and again... and again

whaaaaaat this is amazing. Love that chorus with the big backing vocals, love the understated lead all over it, love the narrative, love the harmonies that snap in and out. I love how you took this reggae style and sprinkled spookiness over it; your bass run downs sound almost like the scary organ in an old horror movie, and the 'ooohs' at the start are like ghosts.

You have the genre down to a T, and it's an incredibly catchy tune. Top marks. I can't fault this.

I made a note so I remember to come back to hear this. I'm out of bandwidth until Halloween, so I can do stuff that doesn't require any speed (like post this), but no downloading or sound streaming. I like the words, though. And I'll be back. And, as you no doubt noticed, this is entry #11. I think we'll be having at least one or two more....

Love this one, Igg...

This sounds so authentic...it's a style that's often imitated...but it's rarely done this well...

Really cool...my front-runner in the competition for sure  :)

Well I wasn't expecting Reggae but this is really good. It all works together nicely for me, production, instrumentation, melody, harmony, bv's, lyrics.

Great job, very authentic yet original.

Hi igg

Nice hook and well served IMHO.
Reggae zombie - who'd have thought? But it works a treat here.
My only suggs are to wait a bit on the harmonies - seemed a bit earlyto me but that's down to preference - no?

Quality entry  ;D

Hi,
I just can't believe how much quality this competition has engendered and this Zombie reggae does NOT dissapoint. Superbly sung and fabulously well produced. Going to listen again... :)

beautiful musicianship as always igg...love the harmonies & your friends oh so classy guitar playing!
this is very deceptive & clever bcos it doesnt sound anything like a spooky song till the chorus when your unrequited love for the girl turns into a zombie
& thats a nice twist on a zombie theme ...psychological zombies rising from the subconscoious...ooooer! :o
Tell me Im wonderful & I ll be nice to you :)

Hi igg,

the reggae was definitely a surprise, a very pleasant surprise.

You asked for suggestions so here goes. The first line of the chorus didn't work for me, there was no rhyme so it sort of stuck out as being odd. My suggestion would be "A love I'll never taste". Its still doesn't rhyme but it seems to fit in more with the sentiments of the song. Feel free to ignore me if you disagree.

I also found the ending a bit disappointing. I was hoping for a sharp cut off mid sentence with a little trail of reverb. Again just a suggestion.

Two very small points but I agree its a really great song.
