I too have recently jumped on the Facebook twitter etc bandwagon. It is so flipping time consuming and already I can feel myself being sucked into the little plastic screen and not getting as much musical work achieved. (Well, hardly anything for 3 weeks as I’ve been so thin on the ground - bouts of childhood illness, family stuff and husband being off work - so no recording either. Humpf.)
Well, you’ve got to start somewhere innit Kev. It’s a really good start. Just keep being creative! I found that Instagram was good to get connected with brand new folks interested in things that are of a similar ilk. Isn’t as powerful as Facebook, but has definitely helped a little bit with SoundCloud listens and stats.
I’m going to sit down next week and plan 2 months worth of posts and random ideas, so I can then sit back and almost forget about it. And then I can get back involved in making tunes and learning new stuff on the forum.
And then it’s the s*dding school summer holidays.... aaarrrggghhhhghhhhhh
On a side note, I signed up to bleep.me - a great site where all dif forms off social media posts all appear together in one place with a bio. Kind of like having a free website. Is really cool.
Hope you smashed it at Humber Dock festival kev
post some vids and then we can ‘like’ them ! Cxx
