From what we read at times,
A song, a poem, thoughts and rhymes
Just happen ...
Like this one yesterday
Thinking Games
They think they know, and never think
That they may be wrong, because they know ...
They can cast aside without a care
They may be wrong but still laugh and share ..
A joke or two, a jibe, a wink
They think they know, so never think
But oh, the truth one day will out
There'd be so much more to think about
They can cause the pain, they aim to blame
They think they know, would they drown in shame
For what they play is a coward's game.
They never think they could be wrong
And too entrenched to write this song
They hide away, so out of line
But are they the ones who'll never shine?
Tarnishing and ruining their own reputation
But longing for that standing ovation
They are the ones who play thinking games
They are the ones who have no names
Preferring to stay hiding behind their thoughts
Only hinting by taunting, nothing clever to be bought
End and fade
But somewhere there are Angels, aren't there?
Angels suddenly appear, don't they?
And when they do, they help the hurt through
For those who did nothing, and hurt no-one
And never played the Thinking Games
Never liked the Thinking Games
Wouldn't join in the Thinking Games
The Thinking Games
Would be getting it wrong in the Thinking Games
