I,ve been writing songs for a number of years, always folk or blues based. I use traditional tunes and very often traditional themes but try to give them a new slant.
Influences range from Dick Gaughan to Spider John Koerner, basically anything powerful and rootsy.
I like choruses and story songs and have a dislike for anything of a whimiscal nature. It's been my belief that we owe a lot to those that went before us and should always stand up for a cause.
