OK, this one is in Swedish but I'll think you'll enjoy it nevertheless.It's basically a crash course on how to make a sparse and tasteful arrangement/production.

Not!

A short summary in English (you will get the message anyway I think);

An artist presents his new song to his producer who say:
- Great song, probably the best you've ever written.
However, and don't get me wrong, but I think it could be improved just a little bit.
Let's take out that acoustic guitar and try an electric instead.
Yeah, that's good, give me some drums and a bass.
Great, give me another guitar.
More guitars!
So now you can see where this is going, the producer gets more and more excited and constantly repeats the mantra: "We are not doing this to sell records but because we like it"
Note: this was recorded back in 1977 during the prog music movement (don't know if this was a local Swedish phenomena or not) where music was supposed to be non-commercial and serve some higher purpose (mostly related to left wing politics in one form or another).
Anyway, the producer never gets quite satisfied and cries out:
- A cannon! Give me a cannon!
- A machine gun?
- No, give me a cannon or I'll go outside and shoot myself!
- WHAT KIND OF STUDIO IS THIS THAT DOES NOT HAVE A CANNON!!!!!!!

I hope most of I gets through the language barrier, I think it's hillarious.
And btw, this is excatly what happens in Jambrains Studios most of the time :-)
