Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself, Gwyn from East Sussex, in a small village in between Heathfield, Uckfield and Crowborough.
I've been playing stuff for quite a few years. Main instrument is guitar but I can also play bass, drums and keyboards to some extent. Unfortunately living in a little village there aren't a whole load of people nearby to collaborate with so I'm hoping I might be able to interact with some people on here. And if there's anyone local in East Sussex then could well meet up.
I'm mostly inspired by rock but I also have guilty pleasures such as the Carpenters. I draw the line at Jazz and on the whole Blues bores the pants off me after 20 minutes. Zzzzzz.
I've got a whole mini studio at home with guitars, bass, piano, drums, 24 track recorder. Just looking at buying a Korg Kronos because recording the piano is such a faff to mike up and ditto the drums; for work in progress it's nice to use the electronic stuff.
I'm rubbish at lyrics, but then so proclaims Guy Chambers so I reckon I'm in good company.
I end up with a million riffs and ideas but struggle to link them together so I might find a really good verse but then can't work out where to take it. This is where lyrics might help inspire a vocal melody I guess.
Anyway - hi!

Hello, you make East Sussex sound like your on top of a mountain in Peru!
Obviously the first placed to look is the lyrics section. Good luck. Terry.

I'm not sure if or how lyrics might help improving you composing skills. If you like, you can use any of my (more than 300) lyrics. They're free as long as they're not performed and used only non-commercially (otherwise I simply require registration with a PRO, they'll always remain free for you). We could also try collaborating on a shared project.

about 50% is (meant for) Rock,
most are for male vocals - I'm not sure about your gender, Gwyn can be 'anything' ;-)
Have fun!
