Rock On (Collaboration with sid shovel)

(1/2) > >>

ChrisPrice:
Here's a bit of rock n roll mahem. It's a collaboration with a gentleman called sid shovel who I know from another forum. He threw down the gauntlet with these rather splendid lyrics (!!) I couldn't resist having a go at it. To be taken with a very generous pinch of salt. It's called 'Rock On'...not to be confused with the David Essex song or the Humble Pie album of the same name and vintage.

Well I'm livin' in a glasshouse, with a bag of stones
Got a jazz-lovin' ‘keeper, won't leave me alone
Uncle Frank's gone n' let the dog out again
No visit from the Mormons since god knows when
Rock on
Rock on
Rock on
listen baby Rock on

Auntie Mary's doing handstands, on her rockin' chair
Grandad chase the maid, up and down the stair
Cousin Chris's in the attic, with his rock band mates
Sister Ellie's gotta bouquet, gonna marry Bill Gates
Rock on
Rock on
Rock on
listen baby Rock on

Rock on – rock on...etc.
