i think this is a very good idea for a song

a sort of anti lovesong - song!

nice, i think you could consider romantic ballad like music for these lyrics, which will make into a sort of lovesong anyway....

lyrics flow well, all great lines, but the pre-chorus seems the weakest spot to me, it is like the song doesn't need that, in my opinion, probably just my idea of what kind of song or music this could fit to

I love that second verse so much I want to scream! Love the topic because I don't really like love songs too! It's so fresh and original and rhymes beautiful. Coincidentally, I also think the prechorus is the weakest part- nattering kind of reminds me of a coffee morning with middle aged women reading take a breaks but that would be my only criticism, your songs get stronger with every post, nice one boo x

Dutchbeat - thanks. I find it weird that you can think of it has a ballad sort if thing because in my head I always think of it a pop/rock sort of thing, Avril Lavigne sort of style. But that has also given me a whole new way of looking at the song so thank you!

Jess - aww thank ou for saying my songs get stronger with each post, it's nice that you think there is an improvement each time. The PC obviously shows that everyone is different as it was one of my favourite part of the song!! Haha. I do understand where you are both coming from but for now I think we are keeping the PC!

Love these lyrics! That second verse..top class.  to me this song has a kind of maroon 5 feel to it, the only part i dont love is the bridge, i think compared to the rest of the lyrics, they just arent as good,  but thats just me.. Great song though, hope it sounds as good as it looks!

Great write. The chorus really delivers a punch but hell that 2nd verse is really something else. 'love is built with bricks and lies'.. brilliant... 'Oh I need you I need you too no you don't, well you won't when it's through'... again genius. What I love about this one is I can actually hear and feel you anger as I read these lyrics and hey that's what songs are meant to do evoke emotion so I guess its a job well done

I've just read the above comment re the bridge and if I'm honest I couldn't possibly disagree more!!! It encapsulates the song in a few succinct lines and I think it actually adds to the whole sentiment of the song. Love the sting with 'no one actually cares for you'. I'm not sure it is supposed to have the effect it had on me- I laughed when I read that line! Maybe I'm just evil
