Hi Guys n Girls.
Here is our latest track, something a little different from us, a bit more pop and indie style.
Lots of instruments we have never used before in here, horns, synth bass, etc
Not written about anything in particular just a fun song that bops a long nicely.
Its amazing what can come out if just putting a drum beat on and picking up a guitar.
Have included the Lyrics but they are completely made up.
Anyway, enjoy and feel free to comment, all welcome
Lyrics:
Verse:
My minds in a spin.
you caught me staring, by the look of your face its a sin.
Chorus:
You oughta know
You got me riding on the tip of your tongue
im watching everywhere you go
You oughta know
You got me hanging on every word and everywhere you go
Verse 2:
falling at your feet, can ya feel my passion
cant hide my looks of desperation
Verse 3:
When ya say hello, I feel the tension
i got moves you know that i cant mention
Bridge:
and when you turn around
and I catch your eye
I start to sweat and my pulse runs high
Coz you're the one that makes my heart beat right
Chorus:
You oughta know
You got me riding on the tip of your tongue
im watching everywhere you go
You oughta know
You got me hanging on every word and everywhere you go

Hola @Cawproductions (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20938)
It's a very nice song, it is optimistic, young, full of that carefree vibration that always feels good.
Maybe I would add a bit of level to the synth bass...

@Cawproductions (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20938),
This one does exactly what it says in the tin. I think that the musical performance is spot on but I believe that a better chorus is waiting to kick in immediately where your chorus ends. That seems the the ideal place to take this home with a very uplifting anthemic melody. Otherwise, this is a very accomplished song!

Brilliant catchy Indie vibe guys with a good dose of sixties influenced British pop chucked in for good measure. I thought that this was a really infectious piece and will be on my playlist for sure

Great sound and feel to this, fellas...right up there with the best you've done.
Lyrics often don't have to matter...i sometimes tie myself in knots with them...but there's a lot to be said for just getting the vibe going and not dragging things down and losing the spirit of the thing.
To my ears, it's better than 90% of what Oasis managed to produce, and they did ok out of it.
Cracking stuff!

This reminds me of something, someone...not sure who or what, don’t know really if it’s a band...maybe post 2000 pop rock is what I’m thinking. It’s got that kind of busted/McFly kind of vibe to it, which is the closest I can get.
Production wise, top class...as you say, bops along like a MoFo.
Well done guys.

Hi all,
Thanks for taking the time to listen through and commenting
Really pleased this came across as it did, as everyone noted, a bit of a departure from our usual stuff and a direction we will be following more in the future.
Also chuffed it got nominate for the song of the month. Thanks for that.
Started experimenting with instruments and sounds that I dont usually use in production but it seems to be working.
I dont get too hung up about lyrics as long as they work but I do like an end to end product/song, ie, good arrangement and soundscpae.
Anyway, enough jibber jabber from me,
Thanks again.

Uber catchy upbeat indie in the vain of Cast or The Kooks or Dodgy etc - can imagine this belting out at a summer festival. Yep as has been said the lyrics are Gallagheresque (better than theirs in fact). Great rhythm and drive and I think this track is a good counterpoint to your rockier tracks.

@Cawproductions (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20938) - Polished, super catchy track. Vocals outstanding and everything played to perfection. You guys always produce quality stuff and this is up there with the best of them. I’ll be humming this all day..

You know I like a good lyric, but in this case I didn't care what they were - it was just an infectious and feel good power pop experience. Great vocal arrangements. Very Summery and cool (if that makes sense).

Yup! I gotta agree! this is a super infectious, catchy track that's very well put together. Loved the vocals...almost reminiscent of the Beach Boys, which is a real compliment IMO! that driving beat bops it along without a hitch 8) Will be listening to this one lots more :-*
