Here is my new track called "You"

http://soundcloud.com/the-fisherman/you

Here are the lyrics:

YOU

You came into my life girl
you made it shine
but i still hardly can believe
that you are mine

You smiled at me one day and
that was it
my heart is beating faster
each time that we meet

I was so lonely back then
i couldn't smile
wasn't expecting that someday
you 'd be by my side

The days were passing me by
i did not feel
until the time you showed up
didn't know that love was real

You lift me up
you bring me down
and then you help me get my feet on the ground
And when you laugh
and when you cry
i know that to keep you here with me
i really got to try
i really got to try

I'm feeling lucky that i
met you girl
And there is nothing done for you
that i regret

You lift me up
you bring me down
and then you help me get my feet on the ground
And when you laugh
and when you cry
i know that to keep you here with me
i really got to try
i really got to try
i really got to try

Hope that you will enjoy it!!! Happy new year to all of you!!!

Good enough song...easy listening melody..the lyrics are well used in many other songs...reminds me of that old nimble bread advert..
or at least the 70`s... :D

Their's a nice keyboard sound in there and this is a pretty song, nicely played and produced. My only problem is that the lyrics are a little unadventurous and lacking in originality. Having said that, it's easy on the ears and catchy. Good vocals too.  :)

you have posted 9 songs and made 2 comments.
that is pathetic.
you are aware of the value of this forum or you would not keep coming back.
this is a community, we give and take, that is how it works,
you only take and therefore are of little use to us.

I write songs like this all the time, usually when I'm very emotional so I'm assuming you were too when writing it. The problem with that is that usually the emotions get in the way of crafting out an original song, and I feel that's what has happened here. Sometimes in order to really write a good song you have to take yourself out of the equation and look at things from a different perspective. Your heart has written this track, not your instinct to write a song.
I'm not dismissing your efforts here in any way, shape, or form. I'm just trying to give you an angle from which to write an original track, without becoming repetitive. Hope this helps
Mark

Good simple guitars, chord changes, well recorded - vocal/harmonisers a bit too much for me at the beginning. Vocals and harmonies work well later. I liked the early 70's piano break.
Interesting, intelligent pop.
