he's more tat kind of punk
I hadn't work on a bunch of different voices before in this way so
it was quite interesting to do this

The song works for me too acoustic style

@rightly  well I read the lyrics first and I was expecting a face melting blistering assault on the senses... but this is a rather jolly drinking song! But underneath you can feel the resignation that people are going to shit on you and there’s nothing you can do about it, it has a sort black comedy, trench humour about it... and i can empathise with it, I really enjoyed it!👌

Hi Mr R, the arrangement and melody are totally at odds with the lyrics, which is an interesting way to get your attention. It does have that 'sing along' feel to it but the sentiment is so negative.

I really love the way you’re attacking that piano in places - that’s great!!! Although it’s mostly gentle and jaunty..

Great lyrics. Love the contrast between them and the rather you beat and happy music! Some lovely touches... the change in rhythm, organ, the drums.. love the chorus with both of you singing together.

Fab idea for a song... just great....

is fun
my dear collaborator has the attention span of a gnat, and has a different perspective.
it's mad he might hype a song
I eventually catch the train to visit him, he plays the song, I'm unimpressed and it's written on my face
on another occasion he'll play a song while mindlessly multitasking and it's the best song I've heard in a long while.

the bridge and the outro came were improvised on the first take.
