bought one this week. The build quality is amazing. The set up is spot on, straight out of the box.i paid £361 with a hard case. I've only heard good things about this guitar. If anyone is looking for a reasonably priced telecaster, then you could do a lot worse than this one. Now, I need my broken wrist to heal to put this beauty through it's paces! :)

That sounds like a damn fine guitar Paul! I bought my tele second hand a couple of years ago, and it's the best electric guitar I've ever had. Looking forward to hearing it on your tunes :)
-
Which model did you buy tone?
-
Haha I have no idea Paul - on the back it says Corona, California. I looked it up before I bought it, and the internet says that's good, so I'm happy! I love it :)
-
I had a lovely Jap Custom Tele - rosewood fingerboard, 2-tone tobacco burst with cream binding
I part-exchanged it for my Strat Plus - which is still my favourite guitar! - but I would love a Tele again

Check out the various reviews and you tube videos. You'll love the one above Boydie! 😄

Hey Paul ;D ;D
Nice to see you around again.
Just had a look online at your Tele. I'm a bit of a Fender nut, got a Tele
and a Strat. But my favourite is my Ralph and Sandy Miami Custom Tele,
it's got a Humbucker, which makes all the difference for me. Those single
coil pickups can be a bit noisy. so it's nice to be able to switch between the
two. They're a joy to play, especially with a maple neck. So easy and quick
You're going to love it.......
I'm looking at buying a Fender Super Champ Amp at the moment, been
trying one out.....some lovely nostalgic sounds ;D ;D You should have a
look. Would compliment your new guitar really well
Hope all is well in your world, and your wrist heals quick ;D
Take care my friend ;D

Ah Bin,
Lovely to,hear from you my friend. I will check the suggested amp though, I'm not sure if my guitar playing will be restricted to studio work in the future so plugins might be the way forward for me.
I had a lovely American Standard back in the eighties. I kept for 18/19 years and then sold it when I needed the money for my family. thought I'd buy the classic vibe as it was a cheap way back in to playing telecaster and I don't have an electric at the moment.
I had a bad car crash two weeks ago so my recovery will take a while and I wanted an incentive to get better and something to look forward to, hence the classic vibe. my wrist injury is quite bad and may require surgery in the next couple of weeks.
Anyway, I have several albums of new material stockpiled, some recorded with acoustic guitar and vocals, other's sketched on my iPad - rough audio recordings and some that exist in my head and on paper , chord charts etc. I haven't recorded seriously for the best part of two years. hopefully there will come a time when I do so again.
Hope you're well Steve, still making your guitars sing and enjoying life!

Hey, that's a lovely guitar, particularly in the butterscotch finish. I think the recent Squier stuff is incredible value for money and I'm sure you will not be disappointed with that one. I just picked up an almost new standard squire telecaster in butterscotch for £115 in a local charity shop. It is mint and the set up and action is perfect - I couldn't believe it so I thought for about a millisecond before I decided to buy it.
The tone you get at that price is amazing.

Guys's Agreed You really can't beat them - check out ebay too ( its a sinful place ).
I've got a custom with P90's which rocks and my favourite thinline which give me all them country licks.
and hope you ge better and to hear your new stuff wicked deeds too.

Hey Alan,
I bought the butterscotch blonde and it looks the business! Your charity shop buy sounds fantastic. I might buy an American tele one day but I'm becoming less of a guitar snob as the years go by. If a cheaper guitar achieves what I want then that's good enough for me. I've missed my old American Telecaster for so long that I just had to address that with one of these newer guitars. maybe I can guest on one or two songs for members when I'm fully recovered! :)
-
Good choice.
I bought one a month ago for recording purposes.
Same one as yours.
Squiers have been doing the business for about 8-10 years now.
China is well up to the job these days.
-
Thanks for your well wishes Neil. Hope to oblige with the new material one day. 😄
-
Couldn't agree more Alan - China make a great telecaster!

Hi WD,
You cant go wrong with a Tele, I stumbled across a 2nd hand LTD version for less than 200 pounds so I took it home and played Roy Buchannan all week. The neck feels a bit flatter than a Fender but I leave it in dadgad for a couple of covers we do live, and to try playing slide now and then. Obviously I need another for normal tuning ;-)

The Classic Vibe Tele is high on my list of must get guitars. I have to be careful though, my wife says no more for a while. I just bought a new Washburn so another guitar is at least six months away.
I played the Butterscotch one in a music shop in Reading and couldn't believe how it sounded. It is pure classic Telecaster, you got a great guitar there man.

All sounds good to me!

Ah Teles, now we are cooking with gas! I love all things single coil and the classic vibe range of guitars are of a quality that belies their meagre price tag. I bought a classic vibe custom used for 150 quid last year,a great little guitar it is too, though I have modded it a little. ;)
The days of a cheap guitar being cheap for a reason appear to be behind us.
I used a bog stock Squier Telecustom (the P90 one) on the song I posted in 'finished songs' today,it was 150 new. :o

Yet another thumbs up for this guitar. I was feeling quite pleased about my purchase but I am even more so now 😄
