Thank you all for listening and commenting
@CaliaMoko - appreciate the kind words, Vicki and hoping you're feeling better! I must confess the
similarities to other songs is intentional - my bad! So far, I've been told the melody sounds just like:
Help Me Make It Through the Night - Kris Kristopherson
My Way - Paul Anka
Tomorrow Never Comes - Garth Brooks
No Reply - Beatles
Something Changed - Pulp
Now, if I copied one of those, well then, they must have copied one another, so how many wrongs does it take to make a right? Speaking of which:
If two wrong don't make a right, what do two rights make? - An airplane!
But I digress - thanks again for commenting!
@LAquila
Cheers - and I'm glad you heard some optimism !
@Martinswede
Thanks Martin - very kind of you. Yeah key changes are always tough to "introduce". Will look at that.
@shadowfax
Cheers Kevin - as they say good songs are borrowed, great songs are
stolen Not saying this is great so it must be borrowed..
@Jamie
Thanks Jamie - means a lot coming from a non-country fan.
@Wicked Deeds
Cheers Paul - humbled by those comments. Glad to have ya back in these parts of the web.
@Yodasdad
Thanks for that - it probably was written back then but I decided to write it again
@adamfarr
Ah so great to get a thumbs up from a lyrics pro - thanks Adam. Years ago that would have been a steel guitar but I thought I'd throw some grit in it to keep it from being too syrupy
@Skub
I've never heard that Garth Brooks tune! In fact I've never heard of Garth Brooks or the Beatles for that matter
Thanks for the kind words
