It's just a somebody-did-someone-wrong Soul song.
A co-write with one of my oldest friends who also sang it. I did the music in Garageband originally but exported to Logic as I bought it mid-project.

No One But Me

I think I might stick around and tread the water,
Even though I know you’re The Devil’s daughter.

The way that you treat me is worse than unkind,
I
’m such a fool for you baby I keep coming back,
Time after time.

Who’s gonna love you
When you ain’t got me?

Who’s gonna be there for you baby?
No one but me.
T
here ain’t another fool gonna want you as far as I can see,
Who’s gonna  love you, love you, love you?
No one but me.
Who’s gonna want you, want you, want you ?
No one but me.

Days are long and the nights are cold,
Your cheating heart, I just can’t let it go.
One day soon, I might take all I can stand
,
Leave you crying all alone and never come back again.

Fantastic vocals that soar above such tasty guitar work.
I enjoyed this so much. Nothing more to add. Thank you

yes great vocals
and guitar
Sounds like a classic
motown sound, as far as i can tell
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

And there you have it.

Ooh...this is very nice indeed.

Great soulful vocals, great harmonies, tasty guitar work and a great, authentic, timeless sound.

Rather fabulous, in fact.

This is an instant classic sounding tune, the backing vocals are particularly great in terms of performance as well as how they're mixed. Along with some excellent guitar work. Particularly like how it calms down at the start of the final verse with the staccato style guitar playing, brilliant structure.

This is brilliant. A hint of Motown as has already been mentioned. It's the vocals which are pure class. I love this kind of music. I don't play it myself but have masses of respect for anyone who can turn out something as good as this. First class :)

Hi @estreet, what a wonderfully clear sound you have got here, especially with that fab vocal sound. I suppose it helps that the vocalist is top quality  :D

Classic soulful sound, very professional, sounds radio ready to me. Hats off!

@estreet

Hi, I agree with all the other comments....v nice work. With a vocal like that its easy to see why you would go for a sparse arrangement, which is spot on in terms of playing and authenticity.
