Title: Tulissa law suit
Post by: Sing4me88 on April 05, 2018, 12:54:06 PM
So it seems it's not just the 'little guys/girls' that need to worry about being stiffed by co-writers....

Fair play. Looks like they treated pretty badly.

There's me worrying about "little details that really take you there" and "getting some sensory metaphors in there" and all people really want is

"I'm wanna scream and shout/
and let it all out"...

I think it`s hilarious. It`s supposed to be a massive track but I can`t place it, I`ll probably recognise it if I hear it (believe me I can`t be bothered searching it). I read about this in the Sun/Star and I think the lyric

"I'm wanna scream and shout/
and let it all out"...

is actually quoted in this press as `let ~~it all out`, but no doubt this will be discussed by future music theoreticians. I actually think it`s an effective use of counterpoint and the kind of line Philip Larkin would be proud of.
This is in the same week someone in the Sun or Star described Britney Spears as a musical genius.  I need a lie down.

It`s all good fun.

Well, that's it. Next time Britney calls and asks me to write a song with her, I'm just going to say no!

It's hard to fathom why they wouldn't give her a songwriting credit (well not Britney and WIll I AM, the record company I guess) unless they weren't aware. Bit daft to let it go all the way to court.
