Yanni,
It might be worth sticking round the forum, posting some lyrics and seeing if any of the members would be interested in collaborating. Arguably, writing songs that are commercial is very different to writing good, well rounded songs. In the commercial camp, the lyrics are probably the least important thing. How else do we explain the likes of Duran Duran, Adam and the Ants, Keith Harris and Orville? Granted, the best songs have great lyrics but, in the mass market commercial arena, the pure lyricist is bottom of the food chain. If you're looking to make money, Boybie's spot on, find a collaborator; that way you have a song to pitch rather than lyrics. Also, peer review is always a helpful process.
