Jogging in a mystic fog, I almost ran her down
the chain she used to walk her dog, sent us tumbling to the ground
And there we were face-to-face, just inches from a kiss
her eyes wide open with surprise, from our walks that went amiss
The moment seemed forever, as I gazed into her eyes
our entanglement was intimate, as we struggled to arise
I felt that this event was surely heaven sent
as I helped her to her feet with gentleman intent
Our apologies collided as we uttered our first words
and both of us together felt as awkward as two nerds.
But then I heard her laughter, and saw her sexy smile
I knew I couldn't leave her, so I made this last a while
(Chorus)
I know you think I'm chasing dreams
and I shouldn't be so bold
but I'm certain she's the woman
to be with me when I'm old
So chasing dreams is what I'll do
as I sing the chorus of this song
she'll be the one that I will woo
don't tell me that I'm wrong
Ok. So now you know what NOT to right.
That ought to narrow it down for you a bit.
~~~ Edited to add:
By the way, I hope you take this as being well-intentioned. Sometimes serious ideas can be inspired by silly ones. In fact, that's often a good brainstorming technique. Just sit down and start writing silly stuff until you see something that might be a seed for something more serious.
When writing sometimes the best thing to do is just start writing. If you just sit around waiting for the perfect idea it may never come.
