Really catchy tune, I love the ambiance of the song works so well with your lyrics. Can tell you worked a lot on the audio in terms of the pause with the horse adds so much especially when reading the lyrics it's deep! Love it keep it up!!!

Hi Kevin,

Man you're versatile! I've probably said it before on one of your other songs.

This song has a really strong thematic feel to it. Your choice of production works well with the lyrics. My only feeling is a sense of abruptness at the end. For such a song it would favour a more epic ending in my opinion.

I'm not an expert, but the chords you used sound a bit medieval. If that was intentional then kudos!!!

Cheers

Hi Kevin
Really enjoyed this one - your voice totally fits it.
No-one does a better break-down mid song - so tastefully done!
Put a flute in there and Jethro Tull might emerge but this is every bit as good

Hi Kevin,

I think the last song I heard about a knight was Crusader by Saxon. Yours is just as epic, yet in such a short space of time.
You do build some interesting soundscapes. As others have mentioned - you have mastered breakdowns. Whilst they may not be the most "commercial" sounding songs, for me they have an appeal all of their own as you are wondering what will happen next. Who wants to be predictable?

Cool stuff.

Hi Paul..Digger, thanks for the listen and comments, moved away from trying to be commercial for the moment...next song is about how dangerous the city streets in Europe and UK have become.

Really liked the music and melodies.

All in all it was a little too cheesy for me :) sorry. Dont worry Blut that.
Very well written music; great heartfelt singing; which makes it less cheesy again; cause you always sing with passion. I always respect that.

Ok, my first proper review. You've got a lot of positive reviews so good on ya. For me it's just not my thing. That's just me and I'm sure some people who like medieval 80s sounding prog rock will love it. I'm gonna be honest though as there's no point in not saying what you think....

I think the production sounds very dated.
I think the subject matter is somewhat dubious but original.
Your voice sounds good.
I didn't connect with the song emotionally which for me (maybe not all) is important.

Hope you don't mind my somewhat blunt response, keep it up, I may love your next song. Not that it matters what I think anyway.

All the best,
Chris.

Another top song from you. Lovely production, thought I wasn't fond of the acoustic at the start. The eq of it seemed a little to heavy in the high freq end but it all fell into place once the other other guitars parts came into play.

Lovely break down and the vocals were of a high standard as always. Sudden ending? is that planned or is it just not finished yet?  I think that could do with a bit of a tweak.

Allan.

I am not a fan of "prog rock" so found it difficult to get in to this

I liked the vocal melody & processing

The sound fx bridge worked really well

The playing and production was all top notch as usual

Bands such as ELP,Rush,Yes,Marillion and early Peter Gabriel Genesis,to name a few,Kev. Progressive Rock was how folk eventually pigeon-holed it,back then it was just rock music to us.

Hey shadow....I really dig this. Your vocals really glow in this melody. Great production!
Nice writing, man.......I really like the break.....different.....innovatively breaks from the way most of us turn corners with our own writing.
Good stuff!!
