Recently my friend asked me to write a single verse dedicated to family so he could get it tattooed.... I was wonderin what you guys would think?

and threaten a hard journey ahead

It's a very nice metaphor Gary, well written. I'd be nervous as hell if someone was going to have my words tattooed though :o

Hi Gary,

that is something else than writing for a song! A song can be re-recorded, altered, deleted etc. ::)
I have said earlier on this forum, I know nothing about writing lyrics :-X, but do you need the word "may" in the first sentence?
