This is really good! I especially love the chorus, to me that is the atrongest part. I love the idea of the rainbow being the place where angels go. Very imaginative. Like the other comments have said it must've been hard to write. Well done though!

Not the type of thing I'd write about (I'm more a thrashy Pop type lyricist) but I think you've written quite a nice song. Very clever play on the April showers and comparing the tears to rain. I'll be the first to admit that the tear-rain metaphor is hardly an original comparison but nonetheless it seems original in the purity of this song. I think the heartfelt emotion of this and the centrality of the tear-rain metaphor to the song and achieving that emotion made it work for me.

Oh this is so sad you're right the world can be such a cruel place
