Okay, so this song is a tad random, but all my friends say I say some really stupid things (like Coventry being in London) so I decided to write a song about my experiences but from someone else's perspective. I would love some feedback about what you think...and yes most things I mention in this song are things I genuinely thought/said... :-[

Genius

(Chorus)
You thought Coventry was in London
And a peplum was part of a bike
You used a Super Bowl to cook with
And I guess baby that’s why
That although you’re not the best person
To discuss life’s analogies
You thought Coventry was in London
But you’re a genius to me

(Verse 1)
Remember when we talked a bit
About Romeo and Juliet
And you swore Shakespeare was a designer

So we read all his plays and poems
That afterwards you made a promise
That you’d always remember he was a writer

(Chorus)
You thought Coventry was in London
And a peplum was part of a bike
You used a Super Bowl to cook with
And I guess baby that’s why
That although you’re not the best person
To discuss life’s analogies
You thought Coventry was in London
But you’re a genius to me

(Verse 2)
I tried to teach you algebra
But you got the letters muddled up
Cos your x’s looked like multiplies- so we stopped there

So we moved on to circles with
Chords, tangents and circumferences
As your dim reputation disappeared

(Chorus)
You thought Coventry was in London
And a peplum was part of a bike
You used a Super Bowl to cook with
And I guess baby that’s why
That although you’re not the best person
To discuss life’s analogies
You thought Coventry was in London
But you’re a genius to me

I like how different this song is and the humour in it. I really like the first verse, I don't know why I just did. Haha good work x

Ha I LOVE this one!!! It's got a great Pop kinda feel to it. The chorus is my favourite part, its very strong indeed. It's got the ability to make you laugh and get you in a good mood which is always a winner when writing songs. Great work :)

good stuff. It's very quirky without dropping into that very cliched 'omg lol im so random xD' kind of phrasing.

All up it looks a little short and I think it could definitely do with a bridge...

Thank you the comments are amazing  :) I was going to add a bridge my mind blanked so I thought I'd rather post a short song than a song with a let-down bridge, but any ideas for the bridge are welcomed x

Dude, this is litterally the best thing I've read in my life, it is completely unique and unlike anything i've seen before, and it shows that you can deal with your flaws, and says a lot about your personality, which makes the person reading it sorta feel like they know you a little better.
What if we both just smiled at once?
