Okay, so this song is a tad random, but all my friends say I say some really stupid things (like Coventry being in London) so I decided to write a song about my experiences but from someone else's perspective. I would love some feedback about what you think...and yes most things I mention in this song are things I genuinely thought/said...
Genius
(Chorus)
You thought Coventry was in London
And a peplum was part of a bike
You used a Super Bowl to cook with
And I guess baby that’s why
That although you’re not the best person
To discuss life’s analogies
You thought Coventry was in London
But you’re a genius to me
(Verse 1)
Remember when we talked a bit
About Romeo and Juliet
And you swore Shakespeare was a designer
So we read all his plays and poems
That afterwards you made a promise
That you’d always remember he was a writer
(Chorus)
You thought Coventry was in London
And a peplum was part of a bike
You used a Super Bowl to cook with
And I guess baby that’s why
That although you’re not the best person
To discuss life’s analogies
You thought Coventry was in London
But you’re a genius to me
(Verse 2)
I tried to teach you algebra
But you got the letters muddled up
Cos your x’s looked like multiplies- so we stopped there
So we moved on to circles with
Chords, tangents and circumferences
As your dim reputation disappeared
(Chorus)
You thought Coventry was in London
And a peplum was part of a bike
You used a Super Bowl to cook with
And I guess baby that’s why
That although you’re not the best person
To discuss life’s analogies
You thought Coventry was in London
But you’re a genius to me
