Battlestar Galactica and Dr Who are a couple of good ones menioned above.

Can't believe that no one had this one up there:

Some great themes posted - tearing up with the nostalgia of some I can remember!

Whenever I seen the thread, Harry's Game was one that came to mind - such a haunting track - but someone already beat me to the punch with that. I guess if I were to pick three it would be:

Rawhide - such a choon! Can't believe it hasn't been mentioned yet!

Smokey and the bandit - again, absolute classic. There's just something about Western themes that get me fired up!

Derry Girls - this Cranberries track 'Dreams' was theme tune for Derry Girls opening episode so Imma cheat and shoe horn it in! Actually, the show is not only funny AF but also a gold mine for throw back 90s hits.

Honourable mentions that just miss out:

Baywatch - who doesn't love a bit of Jimi Jamison, and even the remix is pretty dope

The Hurricanes - great theme tune for someone who loves football and grew up watching this show!

Royle Family - Oasis TV theme tune, 'nuff said!

Long Good Friday - a film, so slightly cheating, but infectious horn (or synth?) line in this one.

I could never choose my FAVORITE tv theme. For one thing, there's probably dozens (or more) really good ones I am not bringing to mind at the moment. Some of those I like best were more or less one offs, like Joey Scarbury singing "Theme from the Greatest American Hero (Believe It or Not)" and Cyndi Greco singing "Making Our Dreams Come True" (theme for Laverne and Shirley). I also kinda like "Suicide Is Painless" (M.A.S.H.) and "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" (Cheers).

This was awesome too...I remember an episode about the civil war in Angola...gave me the shivers. Amazing hard-hitting stuff. Sadly missed in these days of dumbed-down plastic celebrity ass-kissing drivel.

Yeah,  It looks like Bob ripped off the Banana splits as Buffalo soldier was written in 1978 and the BS theme in 1968

Absolutely!

Can’t blame Bob, I’ve accidentally written the Banana Splits Theme before. Bloody good tune.
