It's almost upon us and it would be some kind of crime to not acknowledge and embrace the biggest green field music festival in the world. I've opened up the fire escape doors in the forum bar and cleared the rubbish from that bit of waste land next door, my mate dave has lent us his old wedding marquee, I've set up a projection tv 'borrowed' from the local boozer and the wife has dug out some old bean bags from the loft.

Come on in, the songwriter forum 'Glastonbury tent' is open, and its free to enter ;D

With extensive coverage on BBC, who are we looking forward to? who should we look out for?

Looking forward to Haim and First Aid Kit on the pyramid stage.
Rufus Wainwright and Vampire Weekend should also be good.

Martha Wainwright & Seth Lakeman on the acoustic stage.
Ed Harcourt on the park stage
Penguin Cafe on the avalon stage.

All in all though, I don't think it is one of glastoburys better line ups

I'm COMINGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!
...actually Mick Jagger kind of scares me, so I'll pass this year. Agree it's not their best line up- no offence to men but there is quite an unequal gender balance this year, which I find annoying. Although, the 1975 are going to be there and I love them...sad times...

@SF, how's the weather in the south field?

I've been chatting with my work colleague, he's a big Stones fan and has seen them live. He reckons they always play the songs too fast and change the arrangements too much. I'm hoping for a good show, I've not seen them 'live' before. I'm also undecided on Mumford and Sons, I've got the first album but I'm not really sold yet.

Brucie is also appearing, be nice to see him, see him nice  :D
