Hello
New song off mine.

https://soundcloud.com/a-fisch-1/lalalala

LaLaLaLa

1) I tried so many times
to fly away
but my wings are not strong enough
for the trip down memory lane

Chorus: My mother always told me
my son don´t be a fool
pack your bags
and run away
thats all
I have to say
LaLaLaLaLaLaLaLaLaLa  LaLaLaLaLaLaLaLaLaLa
run away

2) there is a place
in no mans land
I call it my home
but most of the chieldhood friends
left long time ago
It´s the town with no name
looks like a monochrome picture with no frame
you will try for nothing
to find him on a map

Chorus:My mother always told me.....

3) At the end
it´s only me
my dreams and my hopes
I´m the last man standing here
alone but without any fear
and I´m singing lalalala
LaLaLaLaLaLaLaLaLaLa I´m still here

Hope you listen and like.
Alexander

I listen and I like. The lyrics provide enough of a sketch for the listener to imagine the rest but it's not too obscure. Your style of singing and playing is very much your trademark and this song fits into your cannon of songs. I personally think it's sublime. It relies on very simple ingredients in just the right proportions to make something much greater than the sum of the parts. Gorgeous again - how many is that now?

I found this quite a "haunting" piece

It didn't grab me at the very beginning but it definitely pulled me in and I loved the "la la la la la" section

There is a lovely tone to your vocal and I think you have done a great job capturing this in the recording

Once I got in to it I really enjoyed it

Another good one,,,your songs are made up from the same components ,but they do differ in a strange sort of way....very good work. ;)

Alexander!!! This is so sweet! I don't know how you do it, your songs are so affecting. They're so understated and they definitely don't jump out and slap you in the face with what they want to say, but they somehow get under your skin. I love your verse 2 the best, with the lines about lost childhood friends and the town with no name and the monochrome picture with no frame. I imagine it with a video with an old cine film super 8 projector whirring and showing an old silent home movie of kids running around their backyard playing games...... Very evocative!

Nice and very original!
I must say I liked everything except the Lala part.
To me, it trivializes the other lyrics which are super!
But what do I know?
Overall beautiful work!
Best
Paul

I don´t know too but it makes fun.  ;D ;D ;D
@Paulski
I promise the next song is again without LaLaLaLa although Boydie love the section.
Thanks to you for listening and writing some words.

Hi Fisch!,
Your trademark sound and arrangement. I hear some more adventurous chord structures in recent songs, keep on developing it! Good song.
Cheers

Love the chorus and the doubled vocal. The last verse neatly completes the sentiment of the song to me; you arrive at 'peace of mind', no longer running away, strong in yourself. Well that's what I hear.

A really cool song  8)

I'm sitting in the car waiting to take my little girl into nursery and she's singing 'lalalalala....' and adding her own words.

I liked it and was only going to say 'shorten the la's'... but it seems pointless now as her reaction is the most honest and truthful critique you'll ever get.

Well done.

Alan (and Millie).

Somewhere between Nick Drake and Cat Stephens. Quirky, atmospheric and nicely understated. The lyrics aren't too literal and leave room for imagination while keeping coherence. With a very appropriate delivery. I like the double tracking on the vocals.
