hey guys this is a little trippy hope you enjoy

thank you for your feed back and comments guys

    WALKING ON WATER
      ------ = = = ------

 nothing can touch me
 I'm up in the sky
 euphorically laughing
 as my life rushes by

 looking down on a world
 so fickle and cold
 time is ticking away
 but I'm not getting old

 walking on water
 floating in space
 I'm saying helloooooooo
 to the whole human race
 walking on water
 I'm totally high
 you can come with me
 if you open your mind

 you can come with me
 if you open your mind

 sit back and relax
 shape clouds as they pass
 see birds flying backwards
the blue moon in the grass

 the waves of the sand
 flowing into the sea
 rainbows in rain drops
 the pink lemon trees

 walking on water
 floating in space
 I'm saying helloooooooo
 to the whole human race
 walking on water
 I'm totally high
 you can come with me
 if you open your mind

 you can come with me
 if you open your mind

 one minute you're grounded
 feeling tired and bored
 next minute you're someone
 every body adores

 slowly open your eyes
 this new world is yours
 give me your hand
 lets go and explore

Hi Benjo,
I was expecting this all to come crashing down at the end like some weird 'morning after'/'cold turkey' scenario - I must be getting cynical.
It's a great nod back to early Floyd/Beatles psychedelia stuff; feedback and far out vocal effects etc.  Get your Univibe out!
I wondered about the flow of "time is ticking away"? would "time ticks away" fit better? depends on how you hear it I guess.

Hi Tony,

Great lyrics. Agree with GTB, 16 minutes of early Floyd sang by Syd. I hope you put the words to music.

Hi Tony

Really good write once again, and so different from your other work.
I esp liked "hellooooooo..."
and
"the waves of the sand flowing into the sea" - so back-assward and yet so profound

Minor nit is some of those "your" s should be "you're" s but that's just dust in the wind.

The only other thing I can say is ... FAR OUT MAN!!

Oh memories :) I saw this song title and was instantly reminded of a song I wrote at least a year ago, which I'm gonna say is nowhere near as good as this  ;D This'd work great with a smooth guitar repetitive riff in the back and some clash-y drums in my head, but anyways good write :)

Hi Tony,

I've got a backing track which consists of 10 minutes noise over a two note bass line. I was planning on doing something with it lyrically and putting it on Youtube. I was in two minds whether to include it on the Forum as 10 minutes of weirdness plus my singing is likely to be a minority of a minority interest.

Anyway, being a bit idle tonight I gave your lyrics a test run over what I've recorded. If you feel like jumping off the deep end I could give it a whirl and see what I come up with. If you agree I'll be brave enough to put the results up on the Forum.

This is my inspiration, so be warned,

Public service announcement for the rest of the forum: this is 16 minutes of the greatest band (sadly no more) in the world, however, you may think its just noise, you will not be alone, most people I play this stuff to do, for the rest, well......

Hi Tony,

if you have no problem with two songs using your lyrics I'll be honoured to do it. I may have some help sorting out the vocal but the noise will be all mine. I'm sure you'll enjoy the video, but I can't guarantee the same for the music.

Great lyrics! I like it. First I expected from the title some religious song but it's a careless attitude style. Nice one!

I'll have a listen later today. I finished the remix of Shattered Matter today and my head is aching. Too much time in front of the computer.

Really like these, brilliant use of imagery and phrasing.
Can definitely see the Floyd similarities.

Would love to hear them set to music whenever that may be.
