In light of Seriousfun's excellent mini gig in the 'open mic' section, I tried out my webcam to test the sound quality. It is poor. I can always use my iphone but I can also plug my condenser mic in and go the usual route for audio recording, the temptation then though, to add a bit of reverb etc will be hard to resist. Also, the mic will have to be in shot I think.
The trick will be to come across well but still 'honest'
What do you think?
How would you mic something like this?

You could try your mic about 2 - 3 meters in front of you to capture both you and the guitar. A condenser should be easily capable of this. The room should provide ample reverb under these conditions. I have heard some nice recordings where peeps have even had baby noises at the exact right time come into play as well ;)
If you try this I would be interested to hear how you found it.

Nothing wrong having the mic visible
I also agree with SF that you should not be tempted to add reverb etc. as you may lose natural (honest) sound of the live recording
