Lyricist seeks collaborator

I am a professional novelist who would like to venture into lyricist.  I have actually been writing song lyrics for many years but although a published writer (novels) I have never approached anyone with my lyrics.  I would like to find a collaborator who can put the words to music, perhaps an artist who writes music but is seeking lyrics?  They are a broad genre.  If anyone is interested please reply and I'll send you some of my lyrics.

Re: Lyricist seeks collaborator

Hi Marissa,

I always struggle with lyrics and I would be really happy to work on some music that would work with your lyrics. I always haev the music first and then have to write lyrics to match it, so having the lyrics first will be a really interesting change.

Please drop me a private message with some lyrics and I'll be delighted to have a look.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Gareth

Re: Lyricist seeks collaborator

Hey Marissa,

I'm brand new to this site and noticed your post. I write music and would be interested in using your lyrics in a track. I've had a lack of inspiration for a while with lyrics and I think this may get the creative juices flowing Smiley If I use the lyrics on the track you will be fully credited as the lyricist and any links to your site/information etc will be posted along with the song. I write experimental rock but dabble in other styles such as acoustic and instrumental (which will not need lyrics Tongue). If you are interested please contact me on the e-mail on this profile.

Hoping to hear from you Smiley

Re: Lyricist seeks collaborator

Hi Marissa

Like the other two above, I also struggle with lyrics. I prefer to write the music first and then try to add lyrics later. I have written music to someone else's lyric once before and it went quite well.

I am a keyboard player not a guitarist so I tend to write electronic pop or piano ballads.

If you have 3 sets of lyrics, then you could sent one to each of us. Alternatively, just send the same lyrics to all of us and see what happens. You could then pick your favourite version.

Please email your lyrics to me privately unless you would like them to be reviewed, in which case post them in the review section but please mark them for my attention.

Justin
